Great for my sensitive acne prone skin! I have never been able to wear any type of a moisturizer til I discovered the Elta MD light moisturizer. It is so good for my extremely sensitive skin not to mention very oily. This does not make me more oily or cause breakouts. Makes my skin feel so healthy.

Great moisturizer. A little bit goes a long way. I have been using on my face and neck. Non greasy and non toxic. I did a 2nd order so I don’t run out. I use the 50spf tinted sunscreen after.

This moisturizer is great for night time in my opinion. Even though light is in the name, I find it to be thicker/heavier than something for daytime

It’s not as rich as I’d hoped. Very thin consistency. I switched from the AM restore because it was more aligned with my skin type. I’ll just switch back when I run out.

EltaMD Skin Recovery Anti-Aging Light Facial Moisturizer. I use so many of the EltaMD products and love them all, so I was certain this was going to be a winner with the anti-aging ingredients added, but it proved to be much thicker than I expected and not easy to apply under foundation. I am staying with what I know and love, the EltaMD SPF 40 Light Facial Moisturizer.

So the first things to address are texture and scent. Texture wise its more fluid like than a cream moisturizer or gel cream. Its slightly thicker than a serum, more so a hydrating serum consistency. It doesnt have that instant absorption factor like the AM moisturizer does. This is more replenishing in nature so that makes sense. The smell is pungent to put it politely lol. Great. This moisturizer works for me and my oily, sensitized skin (I use Tretinoin). The consistency is thin. However, I layer this on top of my Vitamin C serum, then sunscreen on top. So I dont need a heavy duty moisturizer. Its great to use at night on top of the Tretinoin, as it doesnt clog my pores. I wake up with smooth skin and no flakes. As far as the smell? I really cant detect much. Will repurchase.

Lightweight but moisturizing. This is great for daytime - I use it before or with my Elta tinted spf. It glides on and a little goes a long way. Its not enough for an overnight moisturizer but its great for under makeup and during the day.

I purchased this for my spouse but now use it for myself. Even though I have ageing/dry skin, this moisturizer provides a good amount of moisture (even in the winter!) and is a beautiful base for foundation. I love the Elta MD products. No strong scents and beautiful textures.

Helps with eczema. Ive had issues with eyelid eczema/dermatitis a couple times in the last few years. Right before I bought this it came back. My usual treatment wasnt really helping and I decided to use this. It has helped tremendously. Its not gone, but the roughness that happens is gone. Excellent moisturizer for mature skin/rosacea care. It is now my go-to. I use it on my face and neck before applying Elta MD sunscreen. It is lightweight and gentle, but leaves my skin soft and moisturized without being heavy and greasy.

Great Day/Night Moisturizer. I love this lotion for day and night! I used to use the am/pm lotions but I found them to be a bit drying with the derm topicals Im using. This formula is a bit runny compared to the am/pm lotions but I use one pump and can cover my face and neck. This lotion seems to have helped with my skin texture/moisture. Its very moisturizing despite drying down to a matte/natural finish. I also use the UV Facial SPF after this in the morning.

Excellent. My skin is close to 70 years old, mostly oily/combination, sensitive to almost everything, and prone to breakouts. One of the consultants here was kind enough to suggest this daily moisturizer, and I could not be more grateful. It absorbs easily, and my face is not greasy, nor dry, after application. I recommend this highly during the hot summer months. I apply sunscreen afterwards, as this does not offer SPF.

I am impressed with how light and smooth the moisturizer goes on. It absorbs quickly, leaving my skin soft. It does a great job alone or under makeup with no pilling. I follow with the EltaMD UV Clear sunscreen for the face and layers nicely. Great product for my aging skin. I do wish the size was a little bigger for the price but other than that, its fabulous.

My Dermatologist recommended this face lotion to me & I really like it. I have oil acne combination skin & this lotion doesnt clog my pores or break my skin out. A little goes a long way. Its a little runny, but its easy to apply and spreads soaks in nicely. A bottle will last me over 6 months using it in the morning & night. The price justifies how long it lasts. Great under SPF Ive been using this for awhile under their UV Clear SPF as part of my morning regime, and its been great. Its light enough that it absorbs fairly quickly, but also has enough of a moisturizing affect so I dont feel tight even in the dry winter. My super sensitive skin (rosacea AND acne) likes it, and a little bit goes a long way over my face and neck.

Doesnt agree with my skin/face. Nope! I guess this doesnt agree with my skin/face or my skin was reacting to the ingredients. I really tried this product three times, at interval to see if my skin will adjust, but no, same result each time. I would wake up in the morning with dryness, some irritation and pimple-like dots on my face - though not a lot. At each try, the same result. So no thanks. Have been using Elta MD products since onset of dermatitis a few yrs ago. This light moisturizer is pleasant to use anytime and; along w/other items in this special skin care line, is a great help cosmetically and most importantly, No breakouts!

I highly recommend. It was recommended to me by my dermatologist and I must say it is truly amazing. It has a lightweight formula that gets absorbed into the skin effortlessly. What I love the most is that it never leaves a greasy residue.

Elta MD Light Facial Moisturizer is my go to moisturizer to seal in skin ceutical serums or in summer to moisturize my freshly washed face. It feels and smells great, and I hardly know its on my skin.

I am really liking the whole skin care recovery products from EltaMD! This moisturizer is very light, it comes out more watery but soaks in fast. Does not feel heavy. I layer this over the toner. All the products really do help keep the skin supple. I have very sensitive skin and havent had any reactions to any of the recovery line products!

Ideal for post-laser treatment, the Elta MD skin recovery anti-aging light facial moisturizer is gentle and suitable for sensitive skin. It caused no stinging for me. However, living in the southwest/desert, I found it to be not moisturizing enough after a procedure recovery.

Not for dry skin. This would be a nice product for someone with oily skin. The consistency is more like a milk than a cream. It was super gentle and worked well with my reactive skin. Personally for my dry skin I need something heavier.

Love this product! If I had to find anything wrong, I would say I wish it were a bit richer, but, It goes on so nicely and looks great under my foundation, as well as under the Elta tinted sunscreen. My skin is SO sensitive, and this product is wonderful for it.
