Please keep this item! It isn’t greasy and rubs in nicely. It also doesn’t pill up later. I love it. I’m on my 4th one!

I used this for the first time and my lips did not get burned. i use the tinted face cream with sun protection too. Both excellent.

I have used this product for several years and really like it. It goes on my lips easily and I feel like it is protecting my lips from sun damage.

This product is great for those summer or beach days! Sunscreen is super important, and can’t ever forgot about the lips! This is super moisturizing and cooling and I love how easy it is to apply

My lips and the surrounding tissue are very dry and susceptible to additional dryness and sunburn during the summer months. I’ve tried numerous lip sunscreens without a successful remedy until I tried eltamd. This sunscreen has a very light hint of mint but it is not flavored, which I prefer. Many lip sunscreens leave a terrible taste in your mouth, but eltamd does not have that problem. It quickly melts into your lips and surrounding areas leaving your mouth area feeling hydrated. It provides e...

i have seen way too many skin cancers on the lips! this is a great SPF lip product, they can be hard to find. tastes fine and protects your lips! can’t beat it. just remember to reapply often :)

Goes on easily. Feel good in the lips. Doesn’t irritate my skin. Withstands travel in beach bag to travel bag. Doesn’t taste like sunscreen. Leaves lips protected! Does feel slippery

My lips burn all the time, but this is the absolute best!

Best SPF lip product! It is difficult to find a good lip balm with SPF! Most come with a heavy white cast and taste terrible. Elta goes on smoothly, feels moisturizing, without a white cast. While I seldom intentionally taste lip products, they do get in my mouth from time to time, and this one is pretty neutral in the taste department. I have never suffered a sunburn on my lip while wearing it, so it appears to work well! My skin is very fair.

After having a pre cancerous spot treated on my bottom lip I got serious about protecting my lips. I have used the Elta 46 Clear sunscreen for years and definitely trust the product. The lip balm goes on creamy and virtually clear. My lips feel so smooth and protected. Very pleased! Will def continue to purchase!

I have tried many lip sunscreens and I especially hate the taste of chemical ones, and some mineral ones make me look like Casper and are really drying and hard. This one is very hydrating and does not make my lips lose their natural color. It works great over a lip tint too to give my lips a bit more color. I really like the product. Minus two stars because the applicator tip is faulty. The plastic remnants from the hole are very sharp and scratchy. I cannot use the applicator.

Goes on white on my lips. I did not look at myself in the mirror when putting it on. I am sure its efficacy/protection is great though. Will probably just use for hiking or out when I dont care what people think. I tried really rubbing it in and I might need to rub more, but I am on Accutane and my lips got pretty peely after. Maybe if you are not on Accutane and you use a lipstick over it, it might work for you to wear everyday. I will try using it again after I finish the medication.

I like it (after only a handful of uses. Keep reading, please). I like the feel and taste. However, it is so hard to get it out of the tube! I feel like I have to squeeze for ages for a tiny bit to come out, especially if it is not too warm outside. Why put such small amount into a large tube? Or is mine defective? This enough will stop me from purchasing it again. Too bad. I am such a fan of Elta products!

I have tried several UV lip balms with SPF, and usually it is the taste that bothers me, but this one from Elta MD has a much less offensive taste, which is why I gave it 2 stars. After applying it, I had high hopes that this would be the one! Sadly, after about 1/2 hour of wearing it, my lips were so incredibly dry that I had to slather them with a non-sunscreen moisturizing lip balm. I dont usually have dry lips, so this was definitely the culprit. I am disappointed.

Elta MD SPF 36 Lip is a great product and I plan to always have some on hand. I gave it 4 stars because it does leave a white cast. I use another lip sunscreen if I am going to social events since it is clear. Unfortunately the other one does not have as high a SPF and is not as hydrating as the Elta MD lip balm.

I am outside everyday and always searching for lip balm. Nothing really worked very well for me—still dry and often chapped and rough. I use EltaMD sunscreen so decided to try their lip balm. Best move I have made. Just need a little, goes on easily, keeps my lips moist and no more chapped lips!

I love the idea of a broad-spectrum lip balm with robust sun protection — SPF 36! Getting two in one package was a plus, as well — one for home, one for bag! I have used the Elta SPF 30+ UV Moisturizing Facial Sunscreen for many years. It is an excellent product, and I am happy to add the UV Lip Balm to my routine.

I have trouble with sun exposure so I bought this. It seems to work and stay on. However, the white cast is pretty heavy. I will try with lipstick. Not a fan. I will use it up since it cost too much.

For many years, I have had extra dry, chapped lips all the time. This product has helped my lips more than any other product I have tried. It is exceptional! I recommend this product to anyone with lip problems.

I would like this product much more if the sunscreen ingredient was clear. I feel like I look silly wearing it; it genuinely makes my lips look bright white. Otherwise, it wears really silky and smooth while making my lips feel hydrated. I probably wont re-purchase this.

I have used Elta products for years. They are quality products. I did not know they made an SPF Lip Balm until recently. I like the package of two as one goes in my beach bag and the other in my purse. Once applied, it easily accommodates lipstick over it. The only negative is that it comes out a bit unmixed—watery and a bit gritty. Once rubbed in, it feels smooth.

I have this. I am glad I bought it. The only thing I wish is that it did not leave a white cast on the lips. I am dark skinned naturally and my lips are darker than normal as well. I usually mix it with a colored lipstick. It does moisturize well though!

This is the SPF lip balm I grab when I am going to be outdoors all day! It leaves my lips feeling hydrated and protected. It can feel a little gritty initially and has a white cast until you rub your lips together, but the balm melts into your lips fairly quickly.

I decided to try this product because I have purchased several EltaMD facial sunscreens and have been very pleased with all of them. I like the consistency of this lip balm. It goes on nice and I really like the fact that it is water resistant for up to 80 minutes. It gives nice moisture and the application is easy. There is no scent and it goes on clear.
Taylor
Love love love this lip sunscreen. It has made such a difference in my lip appearance hands down. Never even thought about using sunscreen on my lips before which is crazy cause I am an avid sunscreen wearer but one day I saw a chapstick with sunscreen in it and I was like well ya duh.. so I tried a couple. Nothing too great. Then I tried this. It lasted longer and made them softer and slightly plumper.

I wanted to love this, but find it is okay and does what it is supposed to. It goes on white but if you rub and spread it, it lightens up. I do love that it does not taste like SPF! Probably will not buy it again.
Jasminne
This gets the job done in terms of making your lips feel moisturized and giving sun protection coverage. However, it left a white cast. I applied or mixed it with a colored balm or only used it when working from home.

This is the second year I have bought this for its excellent coverage. It comes in a convenient applicator which is great for the beach. I keep it in my hand bag so I have it with me all the time.
Anna
This product is a really nice summer staple. It has a light sweet mint scent and smooth texture. My one critique is that if you use too much, you get somewhat of a white cast on your lips. Definitely a good option for active days in the sun when I am not worried about my appearance.

I use a lot of these products as I love them and they do not cause irritation. I did not know they had a lip balm and my lips get burned easily. This says transparent, but it goes on white and kind of stays white, basically looks like a white lip gloss. It also comes out clumpy like it is separated. Not a deal breaker but noticeable.
Andrea
I love this brand especially their face sunscreen so I automatically thought I would love the lip balm. The lip balm is a thick white layer that does not go away and it wears off almost immediately. It honestly feels like nothing actually absorbs onto your lips—it just lays on top. It is a hard pass.
Sophia
I bought this lip balm because I wanted a lip moisturizer with SPF. Since I already used a lot of their products, I thought this would be a good place to start. Overall, I am very so-so about this product. It has a weird, chemical menthol taste and a slight white cast. I also noticed some dry skin in the corners of my lips, which is unusual. I do not plan to repurchase.
Hannah
I actually really like this lip SPF. I trust the brand even though I cannot really use their face sunscreens. This is the only lip SPF I have tried that has not dried out my lips and actually feels moisturizing. I wish it were not as pricey, but it is worth it. I do wish it had higher SPF. Overall, a solid choice for a Fall/Winter SPF lip balm.
