Should I start with the 1.0% or the 0.5%?

The 1.0% is the higher strength, best suited to skin already comfortable with retinol. If you are newer to retinol or have sensitive skin, it is wise to begin with the 0.5% and work up once your skin has adjusted.

How often should I use it?

Apply one pump, about a pearl-sized amount, once daily in the evening. When starting out, use it just a few nights a week and gradually increase to nightly as tolerated.

Can I use it while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Retinol is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. We suggest pausing it during that time and speaking with your doctor about pregnancy-safe alternatives.

Is some dryness or peeling normal?

Mild dryness or flaking can happen as your skin adjusts to retinol, especially at this higher strength. Ease off the frequency if it becomes bothersome, and keep skin well moisturized. The added hyaluronic acid and vitamin E help buffer the formula.

Do I need sunscreen with retinol?

Yes. Retinol can make skin more sun-sensitive, so daily broad-spectrum SPF is a must. Since you use the retinol at night, be diligent with sunscreen every morning.

Can I use it with other actives like vitamin C or acids?

Vitamin C pairs well in the morning while retinol stays at night. Be cautious layering it with strong exfoliating acids in the same routine, as that can over-sensitize skin; alternate nights if needed.
