How to Use

Step 1: Cleanse with SUZANOBAGIMD Foaming Cleanser and pat skin dry.
Step 2: Dispense 2 to 3 pumps of toner onto a cotton pad.
Step 3: Smooth across the face and neck, avoiding the eye area.
Step 4: Let it dry before applying other products.
Step 5: Use morning and evening.

Caution: For external use only. Keep out of eyes and out of reach of children. Stop use if a rash or irritation develops and persists. Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher daily. Store at 59–77°F (15–25°C), out of direct sunlight.

How is this different from Nu-Derm Toner or C-Balancing Toner?

Nu-Derm Toner and C-Balancing Toner are built for Obagi's Nu-Derm and Obagi-C systems. SUZANOBAGIMD Balancing Toner is the toner for the SUZANOBAGIMD sensitive-skin routine: it pairs witch hazel, to help control oil and refine the look of pores, with aloe and antioxidant botanicals (broccoli extract and citrus bioflavonoids). The simplest rule is to match your toner to the system you're using.

Does it contain drying alcohol?

No alcohol denat. (SD alcohol) appears in the ingredient list. The witch hazel is listed as witch hazel water, and the formula includes humectants such as glycerin, panthenol and sodium PCA. It is a balancing, oil-controlling toner, though, so if your skin runs very dry, follow straight away with your moisturizer.

Will it help with oily skin and large pores?

Obagi formulated it to help control excess oil and minimize the look of large pores, mainly through witch hazel. A toner improves how pores look by keeping them clear of oil and residue; it won't change the size you were born with. For deeper pore and texture work, pair it with an exfoliating step such as SUZANOBAGIMD Intensive Daily Repair.

Is it OK for sensitive skin?

Yes. It's dermatologist tested and part of Obagi's sensitive-skin line, and Obagi lists it as best for sensitive skin. It does contain grapefruit peel oil and limonene, so if you know citrus oils bother your skin, patch test first.

Where does it fit in my routine?

Use it right after SUZANOBAGIMD Foaming Cleanser, morning and evening. Apply 2 to 3 pumps to a cotton pad, sweep over the face and neck, and let it dry before your serum, retinol (such as Retivance at night) or moisturizer.

How long does a bottle last?
