How is Clearskin different from HydraMatte?

Both are moisturizers for normal to oily skin. Clearskin is a lightweight lotion built around 4% niacinamide and calming botanicals, best for breakout-prone or sensitive skin that also wants help with redness and post-breakout marks. HydraMatte is a gel moisturizer with a powdery matte finish, best for oily skin that gets shiny during the day and wants help with the look of pores.

Will it make my skin oily or clog my pores?

It's designed for normal to oily, breakout-prone skin, absorbs quickly with a non-oily feel, and its niacinamide helps reduce excess oil. PCA Skin doesn't label it non-comedogenic, so if you're very congestion-prone, introduce it on its own for a couple of weeks and watch how your skin responds.

Can I use it with acne treatments?

Yes, that's one of its best uses. Apply it after your salicylic acid or retinol treatment has absorbed to help offset dryness and calm the skin. It doesn't contain any acne-treating drug ingredients, so it won't add to the irritation of your treatment.

Is it good for sensitive or redness-prone skin?

PCA Skin designed it for sensitive and breakout-prone skin. It's fragrance-free, and bisabolol, calendula and cucumber help calm the look of redness. As with any new product, patch test first if your skin reacts easily.

Can I use it while pregnant or nursing?

Clearskin contains retinyl palmitate, a mild form of vitamin A. Many providers recommend checking before using any vitamin A product while pregnant or nursing, so ask your OB or doctor first.

How long does a jar last?
