How to Use

Step 1: Cleanse, tone and apply your treatment serums and moisturizer as usual.
Step 2: Apply Hydrator Plus liberally to the face, neck and other exposed skin 15 minutes before sun exposure.
Step 3: Reapply at least every 2 hours. Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating.
Step 4: Children under 6 months: ask a doctor.

Caution: For external use only. Do not use on damaged or broken skin. When using this product, keep out of eyes; rinse with water to remove. Stop use and ask a doctor if skin rash occurs. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Protect this product from excessive heat and direct sun. Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.

How is Hydrator Plus different from PCA Skin's other sunscreens?

Hydrator Plus SPF 30 is PCA Skin's most hydrating sunscreen, made for dry and normal skin. Weightless Protection Broad Spectrum SPF 45 is the lightweight, fast-absorbing option for normal, combination and oily skin, and Sheer Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 45 is a purely physical, universally tinted, water-resistant formula. Choose by skin type and the finish you want.

Is this a mineral sunscreen?

It's a hybrid. Zinc oxide (5.4%) is a mineral filter, and it's paired with two chemical filters, octocrylene (9.5%) and octisalate (4.9%). If you prefer a purely physical sunscreen, PCA Skin Sheer Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 45 uses only zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.

Is it water resistant?

No. The label directs you to use a water-resistant sunscreen if you are swimming or sweating. For everyday wear, reapply at least every two hours, and again after toweling off.

Do I still need a moisturizer underneath?

For dry or normal skin, Hydrator Plus can often stand in for your morning moisturizer, since PCA Skin formulated it with powerful hydrators. Very dry or mature skin can apply a moisturizer such as PCA Skin Collagen Hydrator first and let it absorb for a minute before sunscreen.

How much should I apply?

Apply liberally, about a quarter teaspoon for the face alone and a little more for the neck, 15 minutes before sun exposure. Most people under-apply sunscreen, which lowers the protection they actually get, so don't skimp.

How long does a tube last?

Used every morning on the face and neck at the recommended amount, a 1.7 fl oz tube lasts roughly four to six weeks. Reapplying during the day uses it faster, and that's a good sign you're using enough.
