How is Silkcoat Balm different from Collagen Hydrator?

Both are rich PCA Skin moisturizers for dry skin in the same size. Silkcoat Balm centers on silk protein, jojoba and squalane with soothing allantoin, and PCA Skin positions it for aging and sensitive skin and for harsh or cold climates. Collagen Hydrator relies on shea butter and antioxidant olive and almond extracts to soften and smooth dry, aging skin. If sensitivity or weather stress is your main concern, choose Silkcoat Balm.

Is it too heavy to wear during the day?

PCA Skin recommends it morning and night, and it massages in until fully absorbed, so dry skin usually wears it comfortably under sunscreen. If you prefer a lighter daytime layer, use Silkcoat Balm at night and a lighter moisturizer with SPF in the morning.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. PCA Skin formulated it for aging and sensitive skin, and the formula contains no added fragrance. It does include botanical extracts (rosemary, lavender, thyme and goldenseal), so if your skin reacts easily to plant extracts, patch-test along the jawline for a few days first.

Can I use it after a peel or laser treatment?
