How to Use

Step 1: Start with clean skin. After a procedure, cleanse only as your provider directs.
Step 2: After a procedure, apply a thin layer to the treated area morning and evening, after Post Procedure Repair Complex, or as directed by your skincare specialist.
Step 3: For rough, dry or chapped skin, including lips and hands, apply as often as needed.
Step 4: Reapply as needed to maintain a protective layer.

Caution: For external use only. This product is not sterile. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your skincare specialist.

How is it different from petroleum jelly?

Both create a protective layer, but Restorative Ointment does it without petrolatum. It uses plant oils and emollients like sunflower seed oil, squalane and caprylic/capric triglyceride, plus soothing sunberry and antioxidant green algae and vitamin E, so it nourishes as well as protects.

How do I use it after a procedure?

Apply it to the treated area morning and evening, after Post Procedure Repair Complex, or as directed by your skincare specialist. The label notes it isn't sterile, so if your treatment leaves open or broken skin, follow your provider's instructions on when to start.

Can I use it on my lips and hands?

Yes. Restorative Ointment is multi-purpose and is made to moisturize rough, dry or chapped skin, including lips and hands. Apply as often as needed. It's also handy on cuticles, elbows and other rough patches.

Is it OK for oily or acne-prone skin?

It's a rich, occlusive ointment, so we don't recommend it as an all-over daily moisturizer for oily or breakout-prone skin. Use it where it's needed: on treated areas during recovery as your provider directs, and on very dry or chapped spots.

Does it contain fragrance?

No fragrance is listed. It's a short, waterless formula of eight ingredients with no petrolatum. If your skin is very reactive, patch test first, and stop using it if irritation occurs.

How long does a tube last?

Because you only need a thin layer on the areas that need it, a tube usually lasts several weeks during post-procedure recovery and a few months for lip, hand and spot use. This is an estimate and depends on how often you apply.
