SkinMedica Ultra Sheer Moisturizer is a lightweight, oil-free, noncomedogenic lotion built for skin that wants hydration without weight. Antioxidant vitamins C and E help defend against free radical damage, while sodium hyaluronate keeps skin comfortably hydrated all day, leaving a soft, non-greasy finish that layers cleanly under sunscreen and makeup.

It is fragrance-free and suited to normal, oily, combination, acne-prone and sensitive skin, which makes it the everyday moisturizer for anyone who finds richer creams too heavy.

How to use

Apply twice daily after cleansing, toning, and applying treatment products. Gently massage a small amount onto the face, and the neck and chest if desired. Avoid the eyes.

How to Use

Step 1: Cleanse and tone as usual.
Step 2: Apply your treatment products, such as TNS Advanced+ Serum or Age Defense Retinol Complex, and let them absorb.
Step 3: Dispense a small amount of Ultra Sheer Moisturizer into your hand.
Step 4: Gently massage it over the entire face, and onto the neck and chest if desired.
Step 5: Use twice daily, morning and night. In the morning, finish with a broad-spectrum SPF as the final step.

Caution: Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water. Store at room temperature, 59-86°F (15-30°C).

How is this different from Dermal Repair Cream?

They sit at opposite ends of SkinMedica's moisturizer range. Ultra Sheer is an oil-free, fragrance-free lotion for normal, oily, combination and acne-prone skin that wants hydration without weight. Dermal Repair Cream is a rich, fragranced cream for dry, rough or environmentally stressed skin. Some clients use Ultra Sheer in summer and switch to Dermal Repair in winter, or use Ultra Sheer on an oily T-zone and a richer cream on drier cheeks.

Will it clog my pores or cause breakouts?

It is oil-free and formulated to be noncomedogenic, and SkinMedica positions it for oily and acne-prone skin. Any product can disagree with an individual, so if you are very breakout-prone, introduce it on its own for a couple of weeks before adding anything else new.

Does it contain fragrance or SPF?

It is fragrance-free. It does not contain sunscreen, so in the morning finish with a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher, such as SkinMedica Essential Defense Mineral Shield, as the final step.

Where does it fit in my routine?
