How is AM Restore different from PM Restore?

AM Restore is the lighter, oil-free daytime formula, built around niacinamide, willow bark extract and hyaluronic acid to brighten, smooth and hydrate under sunscreen. PM Restore is its night partner: niacinamide and antioxidants for tone and texture, plus hyaluronic acid and a ceramide to hydrate and strengthen the moisture barrier while you sleep. Is AM Restore the same as AM Therapy?

Yes. AM Restore Moisturizer is the new name and packaging for EltaMD AM Therapy Facial Moisturizer, which EltaMD describes as a new look with the same trusted quality. As always, check the carton for the current ingredient list.

Does it have SPF?

No. AM Restore is a moisturizer only. Apply it first, then follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning. EltaMD pairs it with UV Daily Hydration+ SPF 50 in its Anti-Aging Kit and with UV Clear SPF 46 in its Clear Skin Daily Duo.

Will it clog pores or cause breakouts?

It's oil-free and noncomedogenic, and EltaMD labels it for acne-prone and sensitive skin, so it suits breakout-prone complexions. If your skin is very reactive, patch test on a small area for a few days before using it all over.

Can I use it with vitamin C, retinol or acids?

Yes. Apply your serums first, including vitamin C, let them absorb, then AM Restore, then sunscreen. Most clients keep retinoids and exfoliating acids for the evening and use AM Restore in the morning, which keeps the routine simple and comfortable.

How long does a bottle last?
