How to Use

Both are fragrance-free face moisturizers with niacinamide. PM Restore is a night moisturizer focused on tone and texture, with peptides and a single ceramide. Barrier Renewal Complex is EltaMD's rich, barrier-focused formula, with five ceramides, cholesterol, squalane and fruit enzymes for dry, compromised skin, and it can be used morning and night.

Is it OK for redness or rosacea-prone skin?

It's fragrance-free, EltaMD lists it for all skin types including sensitive skin, and its enzymes help minimize the appearance of redness. Rosacea is a medical condition, so if you're being treated for it, check with your provider, and patch test on a small area first.

Can I use it with a retinoid or after a treatment?

Yes, it's a good match for skin that's dry or flaky from a retinoid: apply the retinoid first, then Barrier Renewal Complex. After a procedure, follow your provider's aftercare instructions and restart it only once they clear you to use moisturizers again.
