Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, a stable, oil-soluble vitamin C, helps brighten and even tone and supports collagen, and is generally gentler than L-ascorbic acid

How to Use

Step 1: Cleanse and pat skin dry. We recommend Hydrinity PRELUDE Facial Treatment Cleanser.
Step 2: Apply any serum, such as Hydrinity VIVID Brightening Serum or Restorative HA Serum.
Step 3: Dispense 1 to 2 pumps and smooth evenly over the face, neck and décolleté until absorbed.
Step 4: Use morning and evening.
Step 5: In the morning, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. HYDRI-C does not contain SPF.

Caution: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If you are new to vitamin C or have reactive skin, start with evening use only for the first two weeks. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Does HYDRI-C contain sunscreen?

No. HYDRI-C is a moisturizer, not a sunscreen, and it has no SPF. Its antioxidants help defend against environmental stressors, but they don't replace UV protection, so apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen as the last step every morning.

What kind of vitamin C is in it?

Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, an oil-soluble, highly stable vitamin C derivative. Hydrinity chose it because it is generally less irritating than pure L-ascorbic acid, which makes HYDRI-C suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Vitamin C-rich Kakadu plum and green tea round out the antioxidant blend.

How is it different from VIVID Brightening Serum?

VIVID is a hydroquinone-free brightening serum built on Hydrinity's RPH Technology with hexylresorcinol, and it goes on before moisturizer. HYDRI-C is the moisturizer step itself, delivering vitamin C and hydration together. They layer well: VIVID first, then HYDRI-C, then sunscreen in the morning.

Where does it go in my routine, and can I use it with a retinoid?

Cleanse, apply any serum, then smooth 1 to 2 pumps of HYDRI-C over the face, neck and décolleté, morning and night, and finish with sunscreen in the morning. If you also use a retinoid such as RetaXome, a simple approach is HYDRI-C in the morning and the retinoid at night while your skin adjusts.

How soon will I see results?

Skin feels hydrated right away. In Hydrinity's multi-center, randomized clinical trial of 45 women with mild to moderate sun damage and uneven pigmentation, users saw noticeable improvements in as little as four weeks. Give it at least a month of twice-daily use, and keep going for continued brightening.

How long does a bottle last?

Used as directed, 1 to 2 pumps morning and night, a 50 mL bottle typically lasts about two to three months, depending on how many pumps you use and whether you include the neck and décolleté.
