How to Use

How is Strand Serum different from Nutrafol Hair Serum?

They work on different parts of the hair. Nutrafol's Hair Serum is applied to the scalp and targets thinning at the root. Strand Serum is applied from the mid-lengths to the ends and protects the hair fiber itself, reducing breakage, split ends and frizz. Many clients use both: Hair Serum on the scalp, Strand Serum on the lengths.

Will it help my hair grow?

It doesn't act on the scalp or follicles, so it isn't a hair growth treatment. What it does is reduce breakage, so more of the hair you grow stays intact and can reach a longer length. For thinning at the root, pair it with a Nutrafol Hair Growth Nutraceutical or Hair Serum.

Is it safe for color-treated hair, extensions or pregnancy?

Nutrafol describes it as color-safe and extension-safe, and tested it on color-treated and chemically straightened hair. Nutrafol also says it is suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding when used as directed; ask your doctor if you have questions. It does contain a natural fragrance blend with essential oils, so patch test first if you're fragrance-sensitive.
