How to Use

Step 1: In the evening, cleanse with CLENZIderm Daily Lightweight Foaming Blemish Cleanser and pat skin dry.
Step 2: Open one sachet and wipe the pad over the face, avoiding the eye area. The dual-sided textured pad lets you customize your exfoliation.
Step 3: Do not rinse. Once absorbed, follow with serum and moisturizer.
Step 4: Use 2–3 evenings per week, or as tolerated. Do not use CLENZIderm Pore Therapy the same evening.
Step 5: Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning.

Avoid contact with eyes; if eye contact occurs, flush with water and seek medical attention. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration. Sunburn alert: this product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

How are these different from CLENZIderm Pore Therapy?

Pore Therapy is CLENZIderm's salicylic acid toner. The Peel Pads are a stronger resurfacing treatment that combines four acids (glycolic, phytic, salicylic and mandelic) with niacinamide and is used only two to three evenings a week. Obagi's regimen says not to use Pore Therapy the same evening as a peel pad, so keep it for your other nights.

How often should I use them?

In the evening, two to three times a week, or as tolerated. Start with two nights and add a third if your skin is comfortable. At that pace, a box of 30 pads lasts roughly 10 to 15 weeks.

Do I rinse it off?

No. Wipe one pad over clean skin, avoiding the eye area, and leave it on. Once it has absorbed, follow with your serum and moisturizer. Obagi's regimen pairs it with Nu-Gen Cellular Renewal Serum and Hydrate Light Weightless Gel Cream.

Will it sting or dry out my skin?

Expect a cool tingle; the formula contains menthol and alcohol along with its acids. Some dryness or flaking can happen as skin adjusts, so cut back to fewer nights if you feel tight or irritated, and stop and check with your provider if irritation persists. Avoid the eyes; if contact occurs, flush with water and seek medical attention.

Can I use it with retinoids or benzoyl peroxide?

Use the peel pads on different nights from retinoids, benzoyl peroxide or other exfoliating treatments unless your provider tells you otherwise, and skip CLENZIderm Pore Therapy on peel-pad nights. If you use prescription tretinoin or are under a provider's acne plan, ask before adding it.
