How to Use

Step 1: In the evening, cleanse and tone your skin.
Step 2: If you use the Nu-Derm Fx System, apply Clear Fx first.
Step 3: Apply a thin, even layer of Blend Fx to the face, avoiding the eye area.
Step 4: Use once a day, in the evening, or as directed by your physician. Moisturize as needed.
Step 5: Each morning, finish your routine with a broad-spectrum sunscreen.

Caution: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Sunburn alert: this product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterward. Store at 59–86°F (15–30°C), out of direct sunlight.

How is Blend Fx different from Clear Fx?

Both are hydroquinone-free arbutin creams from the Nu-Derm Fx System. Clear Fx is the correcting step, used morning and night. Blend Fx is used once a day in the evening and adds an exfoliant to help clarify and blend tone. Using both, as Obagi's system directs, gives you the full routine.

Does Blend Fx contain hydroquinone?

No. Blend Fx is hydroquinone-free and doesn't require a prescription. It is not the same as Obagi's prescription Nu-Derm Blender, which contains hydroquinone, so don't swap one for the other without talking to your provider.

When do I apply it?

Once a day, at night. Cleanse, tone, apply Clear Fx, then apply Blend Fx. Moisturize afterward if your skin feels dry, and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning.

How soon will I see results?

Brightening and blending are gradual. Obagi doesn't publish a results timeline for Blend Fx, so give it at least two to three months of consistent nightly use, with sunscreen every day, before judging the change in your tone.

Will it irritate my skin?

It contains an alpha hydroxy acid, which can cause mild tingling or dryness at first. If you have very reactive skin, are pregnant or nursing, or use prescription retinoids, check with your provider before starting, and stop use if irritation develops.

How long does a bottle last?

Because it's used once a day, a 2 oz bottle typically lasts about three to four months, depending on how much you apply.
