How to Use

Step 1: Wet your face with warm water.
Step 2: Apply a dime-sized amount of Facial Wash to your hands.
Step 3: Gently massage it into your face and neck in circular motions to create a light lather.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
Step 5: Follow with toner and moisturizer, and a broad-spectrum sunscreen in the daytime. Use morning and night.

Caution: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Contains an alpha hydroxy acid, so use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.

How is this different from Facial Wash Oily/Problem?

Both are lightly foaming PCA Skin cleansers with lactic acid. Facial Wash is made for normal, combination and sensitive skin and adds aloe vera, allantoin and willow bark extract for a soothing, comfortable cleanse. Facial Wash Oily/Problem pairs lactic acid with gluconolactone, a PHA, and is built for oily, breakout-prone skin that needs a little more purifying.

Is it gentle enough for sensitive skin?

Yes. PCA Skin designed it for normal, combination and sensitive skin, and it's fragrance-free with soothing aloe vera and allantoin. Because it contains lactic acid, it can tingle on skin that was just peeled, waxed or is broken, so skip it or switch to a non-acid cleanser until your skin settles.

Does it remove makeup?

It removes everyday makeup, oil and sunscreen. For heavy or waterproof makeup, start with PCA Skin Daily Cleansing Oil, then follow with Facial Wash as your second cleanse.

Can I use it with retinol or other exfoliants?

Most people can. The lactic acid in a rinse-off cleanser is mild, but if you already use a retinoid, peel pads or other exfoliants and notice dryness or stinging, use Facial Wash once a day or alternate it with a non-exfoliating cleanser. Always wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day.

Where does it go in my routine?

First. Cleanse morning and night, then follow with toner, your treatment serums and moisturizer, and finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen in the morning.
