How to Use

Step 1: Cleanse skin with an appropriate PCA Skin cleanser.
Step 2: Moisten a cotton pad with a small amount of toner.
Step 3: Apply in upward and outward strokes over the face and neck.
Step 4: Use once daily or as needed.
Step 5: Follow with your treatment products, a broad-spectrum sunscreen in the daytime and moisturizer in the evening.

Caution: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Contains lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid that may increase sun sensitivity, so use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily. Contains fragrance and essential oils. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

How is this different from PCA Skin Hydrating Toner?

Nutrient Toner is the exfoliating option: pumpkin enzymes and lactic acid gently resurface to refine the look of pores and smooth texture, which suits normal, combination and oily skin. Hydrating Toner is the moisture-focused option for dry, dehydrated or easily irritated skin. Choose by your main goal: refinement or hydration.

Is it OK for sensitive skin?

PCA Skin lists it for all skin types, but it does contain fragrance, cassia (cinnamon) leaf, clove leaf and ginger root oils, and lactic acid, an AHA. A brief, mild tingle can be normal; lasting stinging or redness is not. If you're reactive or fragrance-allergic, patch test along the jawline for a few days first, or start every other day.

Where does it go in my routine?

Right after cleansing and before serums. Sweep a moistened cotton pad over the face and neck in upward, outward strokes, let it dry, then follow with your treatment products, a broad-spectrum sunscreen in the morning and moisturizer at night.

Can I use it with retinol or other exfoliants?

Usually, yes, but layer thoughtfully. If you already use a retinol, peel pads or a strong acid serum, start Nutrient Toner on alternate days or on the nights you skip those products, and pull back if skin feels raw. Pause it around in-office peels, laser and microneedling as your provider directs.
