Who benefits? Normal, combination and oily skin with dullness, rough texture, blemishes or early signs of aging that wants antioxidant protection and exfoliation in a single morning step. Sensitive or rosacea-prone skin will usually do better with a gentler antioxidant.

How to Use

Step 1: In the morning, cleanse and pat skin completely dry.
Step 2: Apply 4-5 drops to clean fingertips or palms.
Step 3: Gently press into dry skin on the face, neck and chest. It may also be used on the backs of the hands.
Step 4: Follow with moisturizer as needed and a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
Step 5: Use once daily in the morning. If you're new to acids, start every other morning.

Caution: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Mild tingling may occur; discontinue use if irritation persists. Sunburn Alert: This product contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

How is C + AHA different from C E Ferulic?

Both are morning antioxidant serums with 15% pure vitamin C. C E Ferulic pairs vitamin C with vitamin E and ferulic acid for maximum antioxidant protection. C + AHA pairs it with a 10% glycolic and lactic acid blend instead, so it also exfoliates, which suits normal, combination and oily skin with dullness, rough texture or blemishes. Choose one for your morning routine rather than layering both.

Will it sting or irritate my skin?

A mild tingle is normal with vitamin C and alpha hydroxy acids, especially in the first week or two. It isn't the best choice for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin. If you're new to acids, start every other morning. If tingling turns into redness or burning that doesn't settle, rinse it off and ask your provider about a gentler antioxidant.

Can I use it with retinol or other exfoliants?

Yes, in separate routines: C + AHA in the morning and retinol at night. Skip other exfoliating products such as scrubs, peel pads or acid toners on the same day until you know how your skin responds. Pause it for a few days before and after in-office peels, laser or microneedling unless your provider tells you otherwise.

Do I still need sunscreen?

Yes. Vitamin C strengthens your defense against free radicals but it is not a sunscreen, and alpha hydroxy acids can make skin more sensitive to the sun. Finish every morning with a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher, and keep using sunscreen for a week after you stop the product.

How soon will I see results?

SkinCeuticals doesn't publish a clinical timeline for C + AHA. Skin often feels smoother within the first few weeks as the acids exfoliate, while brightness and the look of fine lines improve gradually with consistent morning use. Antioxidant protection is a daily, cumulative benefit, so consistency matters most.
