How to Use

Step 1: In the evening, cleanse (BIOJUVE recommends Conditioning Cleanse) and pat skin dry.
Step 2: Dispense one pump of Living Biome Essentials Serum into the palm of a clean hand.
Step 3: Immediately spray the Activating Mist five times directly onto the serum.
Step 4: Mix in your palm for at least five seconds.
Step 5: Gently massage the mixture into the face and neck.
Step 6: Use nightly, and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day.

Isn't C. acnes the bacteria behind acne?

C. acnes is one of the most common bacteria on healthy skin, and different strains behave differently. BIOJUVE uses a specific strain (published research identifies it as C. acnes subspecies defendens, strain XYCM42). In BIOJUVE's 8-week study of its full regimen in 136 adults predisposed to breakouts, no adverse events and no worsening of acne were reported.

Why does it come with a mist?

The serum holds the living microbe technology, and the Activating Mist is its "on" switch. Mixing one pump of serum with five sprays of mist in your palm right before you apply activates the Xycrobes, so the two are always used together.

When should I use it, and with what?

It's a nighttime step: cleanse (BIOJUVE pairs it with Conditioning Cleanse), then apply the mixed serum and mist to the face and neck. Because the serum contains live cultures, we suggest keeping benzoyl peroxide and other antibacterial products out of the same evening step, and asking your provider how to fit in prescription retinoids or acids. In the morning, BIOJUVE pairs it with Biome Support Complex.

How soon will I see results?

BIOJUVE says some people notice changes in as little as one week, with visible improvement in fine lines, texture, tone and dullness by 8 weeks of nightly use. Give it at least two months of consistent use before judging it.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

BIOJUVE's regimen study enrolled adults across skin types I to VI and reported no adverse events, and neither formula lists fragrance in its ingredients. As with any live-culture product, check with your physician first if you are immunocompromised, and stop use if irritation occurs.
