How to Use

Step 1: Apply liberally to the face and neck 15 minutes before sun exposure, as the last step of your morning skincare routine.
Step 2: Wear it alone for a sheer rosy tint or under makeup.
Step 3: Reapply after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, and at least every 2 hours.

Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; wear long-sleeve shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses. Children under 6 months: ask a physician.

Caution: For external use only. Do not use on damaged or broken skin. When using this product, keep out of eyes; rinse with water to remove. Stop use and ask a physician if rash occurs. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Protect this product from excessive heat and direct sun.

How is Rosy Tint different from UV Physical SPF 41?

Both use the same 100% mineral actives, 9.0% zinc oxide and 7.0% titanium dioxide, and both are water resistant for 40 minutes. Rosy Tint has a rosy-toned tint and a soothing antioxidant system of vitamin E, carnosine, ginger root extract and bisabolol, in a 1.7 oz tube. UV Physical SPF 41 is lightly tinted, uses alpha lipoic acid, quercetin and linoleic acid, and comes in a 3 oz tube.

Will the rosy tint match my skin tone?

The tint is sheer and designed to blend into the skin, and it flatters most fair to medium skin tones, especially with pink or neutral undertones. It comes in one shade only, so on deeper or olive skin it can look light or slightly pink. A deeper tinted formula such as EltaMD UV Daily Deep Tinted may suit those tones better.

Is it a good sunscreen for rosacea or redness?

EltaMD recommends it for sensitive and rosacea-prone skin. Its mineral actives tend to be well tolerated, the formula is fragrance-free, and EltaMD includes ginger root extract and bisabolol to help soothe skin and reduce the look of redness, while the tint evens tone visibly. It is a sunscreen, not a rosacea treatment, so talk to your provider about persistent redness.

Can I use it after a laser treatment or peel?

EltaMD lists it for post-procedure skin, and a gentle mineral SPF is essential while skin heals. The Drug Facts label says not to use it on damaged or broken skin, so wait until your provider confirms your skin is ready for sunscreen, then wear it every day.
