How to Use

Step 1: Finish your morning skincare and let it absorb.
Step 2: Apply liberally to dry skin on the face, neck and other exposed areas at least 15 minutes before sun exposure.
Step 3: Reapply to dry skin at least every 2 hours, after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, and immediately after towel drying.
Step 4: Children under 6 months: ask a doctor.

Caution: For topical use only. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse with water. Stop use and ask a doctor if a rash occurs.

Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 30 or higher and other sun protection measures, including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.; wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.

Is it a mineral sunscreen?

Yes. Its only active ingredient is 21% zinc oxide, which Epicutis specifies is non-nano. There are no chemical UV filters, which makes it a good fit for skin that reacts to chemical sunscreens.

What does the tint look like?

Lipid Shield has one universal tint from iron oxides that helps soften the white cast zinc oxide can leave. Because there is only one shade, it won't match every skin tone. If you are very fair or very deep, try it along the jawline first.

How often should I reapply?

Follow the label: reapply at least every 2 hours, after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, and immediately after towel drying. Use it alongside other sun protection measures, like shade, hats and sunglasses.

Is it good for sensitive or redness-prone skin?

Where does it go in my routine?

How long does a bottle last?

Sunscreen only works if you use enough, about a quarter teaspoon for the face and neck. At that amount once a day, the 1.7 fl oz bottle lasts roughly five to six weeks, and less if you reapply during the day.
