How to Use

Step 1: At night, cleanse and tone.
Step 2: Apply any treatment serum or retinol first.
Step 3: Apply a generous amount of Renew Overnight Dry to the entire face, neck and chest, avoiding the eye area.
Step 4: Use nightly, starting every other night if you're new to hydroxy acids.
Step 5: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning.

Caution: For external use only. Avoid the eye area; if contact occurs, rinse with water. Mild tingling may occur; discontinue use if irritation persists. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin. Sunburn Alert: This product contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

How is Renew Overnight Dry different from Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight?

Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight is a more intensive resurfacing treatment built around 10% glycolic acid. Renew Overnight Dry uses a 10% blend of five naturally derived hydroxy acids in a richer, moisturizing base, so it is the gentler choice for normal and dry skin that needs exfoliation and hydration in one step. Use one or the other at night, not both.

Is it paraben-free and fragrance-free?

There's no added fragrance, but the current ingredient list includes a small amount of rose flower oil. The ingredient list also includes parabens (methyl-, ethyl-, propyl-, isobutyl- and butylparaben) as preservatives. If you avoid either, check the carton or ask us before buying.

Can I use it with retinol?

Yes. SkinCeuticals recommends applying Renew Overnight Dry after your retinol at night. If you're new to both, introduce one at a time and use them on alternate nights at first. If you notice redness, stinging or peeling, scale back to every other night.

Will it make me sensitive to the sun?

Hydroxy acids can increase sun sensitivity even though you apply them at night. Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every morning and keep it up for a week after you stop using the product.

Can I use it every night?

Most normal and dry skin can use it nightly once it's used to acids. Start with every other night for the first week or two, then increase. Pause it for a few days around in-office peels, laser or microneedling unless your provider says otherwise, and skip it on broken or irritated skin.

How long does a jar last?

Used nightly on the face, neck and chest, a 2 fl oz / 60 mL jar typically lasts about two to three months.
