How to Use

Step 1: Apply liberally to the face and neck 15 minutes before sun exposure, as the last step of your morning skincare routine.
Step 2: Wear it alone for a sheer, even tint or under makeup.
Step 3: Reapply at least every 2 hours. Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating.

Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; wear long-sleeve shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses. Children under 6 months: ask a physician.

Caution: For external use only. Do not use on damaged or broken skin. When using this product, keep out of eyes; rinse with water to remove. Stop use and ask a physician if rash occurs. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Protect this product from excessive heat and direct sun.

How is this different from EltaMD UV Daily Tinted?

They share the same SPF 40 protection from 9.0% zinc oxide and 7.5% octinoxate, plus hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. Deep Tinted uses a deeper iron oxide tint that EltaMD designed and tested on deeper skin tones, so it blends into deeper skin without a white cast.

Will it look right on my skin tone?

EltaMD says it works best for deeper skin tones, where it blends in sheer with no white cast. On fair or light skin it will look too dark; UV Daily Tinted or UV Physical SPF 41 are better matches there.

Is it a mineral sunscreen?

Not entirely. It combines zinc oxide, a mineral filter, with octinoxate, a chemical filter. If you want mineral-only protection, EltaMD UV AOX Elements is a 100% mineral option with a universal tint.
