How to Use

Step 1: Each morning, cleanse and tone, then apply C-Clarifying Serum if you use the Obagi-C Fx system.
Step 2: Squeeze about one to two pea-sized drops onto your fingertips.
Step 3: Apply evenly to the entire face, avoiding the eye area.
Step 4: Massage gently until fully absorbed.
Step 5: Finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Use once daily, in the morning.

Caution: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Sunburn alert: this product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterward. Store at 59–86°F (15–30°C), out of direct sunlight.

Is this a moisturizer or an exfoliant?

Both. It's a lightweight moisturizer that hydrates, with glycolic acid built in to gently exfoliate. In the Obagi-C Fx routine it is your morning moisturizing step, so most people don't need a separate day cream under their sunscreen, though very dry skin can add one.

Why use an AHA in the morning?

Obagi designed it as the daytime step of the Obagi-C Fx system, used once each morning. Because AHAs can increase sun sensitivity, always follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen and reapply during extended sun exposure.

How is it different from C-Therapy Night Cream?

C-Exfoliating Day Lotion is the lightweight morning moisturizer, built around glycolic acid. C-Therapy Night Cream is the evening cream of the same system. Used together, they cover both ends of the Obagi-C Fx routine.

Will it sting?

Mild tingling is possible, especially if your skin is sensitive or you also use other exfoliants or retinoids. Avoid the eye area, and stop use if irritation persists. If you're pregnant, nursing or under a provider's care for a skin condition, check with them before starting.

How soon will I see results?
