Obagi SUZANOBAGIMD Intensive Daily Repair – An exfoliating, hydrating face lotion from Obagi's SUZANOBAGIMD sensitive-skin line that uses gentle polyhydroxy acids (PHAs) to smooth texture and help minimize the look of pores and visible signs of aging.

How to Use

Step 1: Cleanse with SUZANOBAGIMD Foaming Cleanser and follow with Balancing Toner.
Step 2: Apply 2 to 3 pumps once daily, before sunscreen.
Step 3: Gently massage into the face, then feather onto the jawline and neck.
Step 4: Follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher.

Caution: For external use only. Keep out of eyes and out of reach of children. Stop use if a rash or irritation develops and persists. This product contains exfoliating acids; wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher daily. Store at 59–77°F (15–25°C), out of direct sunlight.

How is this different from SUZANOBAGIMD Moisture Restore?

Moisture Restore is the line's straightforward moisturizer for dry, sensitive skin. Intensive Daily Repair is a hydrating lotion with built-in exfoliation: its PHAs gently smooth texture and help refine the look of pores while they hydrate. Choose Intensive Daily Repair when texture, pores and early signs of aging are your focus, and Moisture Restore when you simply need comfort and moisture.

Are PHAs gentle enough for sensitive skin?

That's what they're known for. PHAs have larger molecules than glycolic acid, so they work more gradually at the surface, and they also attract water. Obagi lists Intensive Daily Repair as best for sensitive and dehydrated skin. Some mild tingling is normal at first; if you're very reactive, start every other day and build up, and stop if irritation persists.

Can I use it with retinol or vitamin C?

Yes, with some care. Obagi directs it once daily before sunscreen, so it fits a morning routine after an antioxidant serum such as Super Antioxidant Serum. If you also use a retinoid at night, such as Retivance, introduce one product at a time and space them out until you know how your skin responds. Ask us if you're unsure how to layer them.

Do I need sunscreen with it?

Yes. Exfoliating acids can make skin more sensitive to the sun, and Obagi recommends a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher every day. Apply it right after Intensive Daily Repair; Sun Shield Mineral UV Barrier Protect SPF 40 is a good sensitive-skin match.

How soon will I see results?

Skin feels hydrated right away. Because PHAs exfoliate gradually, smoother texture and more refined-looking pores build over several weeks of daily use. Obagi doesn't publish clinical results for this product, so give it a consistent month or two before judging.

How long does a tube last?

Used as directed, 2 to 3 pumps once a day for the face, jawline and neck, a 2 oz (57 g) tube typically lasts about two to three months.
