How to Use

Step 1: Cleanse and tone skin.

Step 5: Use once daily, or as tolerated.

Sunburn alert: this product contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards. Discontinue use if irritation persists.

How is this different from the Triple Exfoliation Peel Pads?

Both exfoliate with acids. Resurfacing Serum is a leave-on serum built around a slow-release glycolic complex with lactic and lactobionic acids, made for daily use on all skin types and designed to hydrate as it works. The Peel Pads are pre-soaked pads with a broader blend of AHAs, PHAs and salicylic acid. Most clients pick one as their daily exfoliant, so ask us before using both.

Is it okay for sensitive skin?

Yes. PCA Skin formulated it for daily use on all skin types, including sensitive skin, and the slow-release glycolic complex is designed to limit irritation. A light, brief tingle can happen when you start. If redness or stinging lasts, cut back to every other day.

Can I use it with retinol or other exfoliants?

Introduce one active at a time. Use Resurfacing Serum on its own for two weeks, then alternate it with retinol on different nights if your skin is comfortable. Don't layer it with other acid treatments, scrubs or Pore Refining Treatment in the same routine.

Do I need sunscreen while using it?

Yes. Glycolic and lactic acids are alpha hydroxy acids, which can increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun. Wear a broad-spectrum SPF every day, and keep it up for at least a week after you stop using the serum.

When will I see results?
