How to Use

Step 1: Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Hold the can 4 to 6 inches from skin, spray evenly, then rub in.
Step 2: Do not spray directly into the face. Spray into your hands, then apply to the face.
Step 3: Do not apply in windy conditions. Use in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhalation.
Step 4: Reapply after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, and at least every 2 hours.
Step 5: Children under 6 months: ask a physician.

Caution: For external use only. Do not use on damaged or broken skin. When using this product keep out of eyes. Rinse with water to remove. Stop use and ask a doctor if rash occurs. Contents under pressure. Do not puncture or incinerate. Do not store at temperatures above 120°F. Keep out of reach of children.

Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; wear long-sleeve shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.

How is UV AOX Mist different from UV AOX Elements?

Both are 100% mineral with antioxidants, and both are water-resistant for 40 minutes. UV AOX Elements is a tinted SPF 50 face lotion (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide) with a universal tint. UV AOX Mist is an untinted SPF 40 spray (zinc oxide only) for face and body that makes full-body coverage and reapplication easy.

Can I spray it on my face?

Not directly. The Drug Facts label says to spray it into your hands first, then apply to your face. On the body, hold the can 4 to 6 inches from skin, avoid windy conditions, and use it in a well-ventilated area so you don't inhale the mist.

Is it water-resistant?

Yes, for 40 minutes. Reapply after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, and at least every 2 hours. For long swims or heavy sweating, an 80-minute formula such as UV Sport or UV Pure gives you more time between reapplications.

Will it leave a white cast?

EltaMD's white-to-clear formula looks white as it goes on so you can see your coverage, then absorbs within seconds to a transparent finish. Rubbing it in helps it disappear evenly, especially on deeper skin tones.

Is it a good choice for sensitive skin?

For most people, yes. It's 100% mineral, fragrance-free, paraben-free, dye-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. As with any sunscreen, don't use it on damaged or broken skin, and stop use and ask a doctor if a rash occurs.

How long does a 5 oz can last?

It depends on how much skin you cover. Spray until skin looks evenly covered and glistening, then rub in; at that amount, a can gives roughly four to five full-body applications, or many more quick touch-ups on the arms, neck and shoulders. Skimping is the most common reason spray sunscreens underperform.
